HCG Diet

hCG (human Choriogonadotropin) is the scientific name for the hormone

HCG was used in the treatment of obesity disorders by physicians in Europe. They concluded that HCG when used for weight reduction along with a closely regimented protein diet resulted in significant weight loss and improved the lipolytic functions of the body.

The program can be daily injections, pills, or drops prescribed by a physician.

Apsara takes it a step further by offering a program that includes consultations with a Registered Dietitian on a regular appointment basis. There is also meal planning and most important Physician oversight. It all starts with the initial consultation:

All minor risks and discomforts that go along with the program are discussed with your Registered Dietitian.
A full medical exam is done prior to beginning the program to discuss any allergies, or previous illnesses or conditions that might interact with the hormone.
A guidebook is provided to the patient that includes the protocol, expectations, "do's and don'ts" and recipes.
There is a food journal included in the guidebook to track progress. (A great tool for the dietitian to review during the visits.)

If strictly adhered to, the weight loss expectation is 20-25 pounds in 30 days (approximate). Of course, every patient is different and the success will depend on the individual.
